Anna’s Room

Installation performance

2000

Anna’s Room is an installation performance by Robert Wilson presented at Rotonda della Besana, Milan, as part of the exhibition Stanze e Segreti (April 11–May 7, 2000). Conceived as a room that represents the woman’s world through Anna Magnani’s mind. The work unfolds through Wilson’s signature control of atmosphere, light as architecture, duration as a sculptural material, and the sense of intimacy as a spatial dramaturgy. The installation included a live performance by Inés Somellera, reinforcing the piece’s threshold between exhibition and theatrical event.
